The Development Committee is involved in the initial and continued development and functioning of the National Opera House and All NOH Programs. They will be involved to some extent in all aspects including programs, public relations, finances, volunteers and fundraising.

  • Report to the Opera House Committee.
  • Develop program and program materials
  • Make recommendations as to public relations issues, activities and policies.
  • Make recommendations as to fundraising issues, activities and policies.
  • Review the ongoing performance of the Public Relations and Fundraising campaigns.
  • Recommend guidelines for committee chairs, scholarships, buildings, facilities and other projects of the National Opera House.
  • Assist Program Director in shaping and implementation of program policies, goals and standards for each of the organization's programs. This would include the Steel Orchestra, Rhyme and Release, Music Studio, Tea Room, Rental Space and any other current or future programs.
  • Assists the Board and Executive Director in the solicitation of donations and grants.
  • Assist in the renovation and maintenance of the National Opera House facility and grounds.
  • Advises the Opera House Committee on the formation and changes to committee structure and responsibility.
  • Advises the Opera House Committee on priority, timing, direction, funding and management of National Opera House funds.
  • Make recommendations to the Opera House Committee for naming programs and facilities.
  • Other duties as delegated by the Opera House Committee, Board of Directors and Executive Director.
